Curriculum

Carmela Di Mauro is full professor of Business and Management Engineering at the University of Catania, (Italy).
Previously, she served as associate professor at University of Catania and Calabria. She holds a doctoral degree in Economics from the University of York (United Kingdom).
She is co-editor-in-chief of Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management (Elsevier) for the term 2022-2024 and has acted as guest editor for several journal special issues.
Her research articles (60+ Scopus listed publications) have been published in highly-ranked peer-reviewed academic journals in the fields of Operations Management, International Business and General Management. Carmela’s research has earned research awards with journals and at several international
conferences. She has led international conferences as conference chair and has served as jury member for several conference award committees. She served in prestigious academic associations: she was a member of the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) board of Directors for the term 2022-24 as VP Conferences and for the term 2018-20 as VP Europe. In 2015-16 she served as President of the European division of DSI.
